Index a URL on google

First thing to index a url on google is to create a google webmaster account. You can signup to webmaster by following link. Using webmaster account, You can do multiple tasks like add a sitemap, Index a url, check errors etc. You can visit “5 things to do as soon as you host new website” page to learn how to add a new website in webmaster account and how to add a sitemap. In this article, we will see how easy is to index a url on google so that it can crawl it in search results. Here are some basic steps to follow:

Step 1: After login to webmaster account, You will see “URL Inspection” menu in left sidebar as shown in image below.


Step 2: When you click on “URL Inspection” menu, you have to add url on top of the screen as shown in the above image.

Step 3: Click on “Request Indexing” button to send a request to index the page. If a request is already sent than it will ignore new request.
